George S. Hodges is Senior Partner at the law firm of Hodges, Walsh & Slater, LLP, with offices in White Plains, New York. He is a graduate of Fordham College (1970) and Fordham University School of Law (1973), where he was Associate Editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal.

He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and is a member of the Bars of the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York. He has also been admitted pro hac vice in multiple State and Federal Courts to serve as lead trial counsel in product liability and asbestos litigation.

George Hodges is Past President of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) (www.iadclaw.org) having served in that office from 2004-2005. He was also a member of the IADC Board of Directors (2000-2003); President Elect (2003-2004) and Immediate Past President (2005-2006). He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Defense Research Institute and for Lawyers for Civil Justice. In addition to the IADC, he is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, Association of Defense Trial Attorneys and the Defense Association of New York. He was National Chairperson of the National Jury Trial Innovations Project sponsored by the IADC and Chairperson and Principal Editor of the IADC Foundation Privacy Project, Phases I (2003), II (2004) and III (2007). He was a member of the faculty of the 1999 IADC Defense Counsel Trial Academy at the University of Colorado and has been a frequent lecturer for the IADC and the New York State Bar Association on products liability, trial tactics and techniques, construction law and employment practices. The primary focus of his practice is in the areas of products liability defense, asbestos and other toxic exposure claims, construction and labor law and drug and medical device liability.
