Harold L. Moroknek, Esq.
Harold L. Moroknek is a graduate of the State University of Binghamton (1985) and the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University (1988). He is an equity partner with Hodges, Walsh & Slater LLP.
Mr. Moroknek is admitted to practice law in the Courts of the State of New York, and he is a member of the Bars of the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has taken verdicts in numerous jurisdictions throughout the state including Orange, Rockland, Dutchess, Ulster, Albany, Nassau, New York, Putnam, Westchester, Bronx and Suffolk counties, as well as in Federal District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Mr. Moroknek started his career as an Assistant District Attorney and served as a prosecutor for a number of years. In his present capacity, Mr. Moroknek serves as defense counsel to a varied and diverse clientele, including numerous municipalities and police departments in the Metropolitan area concentrating in the defense of false arrest, malicious prosecution, police brutality and civil rights claims. Mr. Moroknek also has the privilege of serving as critical incident counsel to the New York State Police Investigators Association.
Mr. Moroknek also devotes much of his time to the defense of general liability, motor vehicle, criminal, premises and products liability claims. Mr. Moroknek also practices in the areas of municipal law, automobile negligence, SUM/UM/SIU claims, Constitutional Law issues, Civil Rights Litigation and toxic torts.
Mr. Moroknek is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Defense Research Institute.
